City and Sector Breakdown
Bengaluru led with 19 deals, followed by Hyderabad with three and Delhi-NCR with two. Mumbai, Shillong and Chennai also recorded deals.[1] E-commerce startups led by count with seven deals, followed by AI with five and manufacturing with four. Healthtech, edtech, spacetech, semiconductors and robotics also saw funding.[1]
The five named AI rounds, RapidCanvas, Spill Games, Clueso, Parallel Loop and Shamrock AI, total about $61.1 million, roughly 20% of the week, on Depth Grid's calculation.[1][9] That total may understate the category because one enterprise AI startup, RevRag AI, also raised without a stated amount in the sources reviewed.
What the Tessolve Round Signals
Tessolve raised $75 million, about Rs 718 crore, taking cumulative funding to $265 million.[4] Vector Line Capital led, with existing backers TPG and Novo Tellus Capital Partners participating.[4] The company previously raised $150 million from TPG in 2025, while Novo Tellus invested $40 million in 2021.[5] Management said it is in advanced discussions to close multiple acquisitions over the next couple of quarters, as the business pushes deeper into AI and high-performance computing chip design.[6]
Tessolve provides semiconductor engineering services covering chip architecture, design, validation, testing and embedded systems.[7] The round shows that large cheques in India continue to go to deep-tech services companies with revenue, while the AI software rounds this week were far smaller. Strategic Implications for Founders and Investors
A week this strong does not make a trend, because one growth-stage round can move the total by a quarter. Even so, the mix is informative: later-stage capital is flowing to deep tech, robotics, manufacturing and consumer brands with revenue. Early-stage capital is flowing to applied AI and enterprise tools.
For founders, new dedicated AI and deeptech capital such as the F2A fund adds a source of cheques at Rs 100 crore and above, a size that has been harder to find at home. For investors, exits such as Qualcomm Ventures' stake sale in a listed company show the secondary market is active alongside new rounds. Depth Grid's comparison of startup funding in India, the USA and Europe puts these numbers in a global frame. Our explainer on sovereign wealth funds in startup investment covers another source of large cheques.
Next week's tally from Entrackr will show whether the level holds above the eight-week average. Startup India and SEBI publish the programme and fund-regulation context that shapes these flows.
